A great deal of thought, design, and implementation has already gone into water-related projects on the PARKS sites at the former recycling center in Hamburg-Hammerbrook. The process to date has yielded over thirty ideas – ranging from practical, everyday applications to larger-scale planning visions. With »Water: Conversations and Interventions«, technical and artistic perspectives on the topic of water in the city are now being brought together.

The goal is to consolidate and further develop positions and approaches regarding drinking water and sanitation, blue-green recreational spaces, as well as climate adaptation and resilience for PARKS.

To kick things off, a workshop was held with experts from the fields of planning, education, design, and art. Following a joint site visit and an overview of the considerations to date, approaches for short- and long-term perspectives were developed. In the next step, the retrospective analysis and visions for the future will be compiled into a catalog.

Building on this, temporary artistic interventions will be developed, and concrete implementations will be planned as part of the upcoming structural redesign of PARKS.
