Under the umbrella of the “Hidden Potentials – For a Vibrant and Resilient Hamburg City Centre” program package, the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (BSW) is continuing to drive forward the development of Hamburg’s city centre as part of the federal “Sustainable City Centres and Centres” program. The aim is to work with all stakeholders involved to strengthen the diversity of uses in order to support structural change in the city center and revitalize it sustainably.
“Hidden Potentials” is based on three pillars – a strategic, an organizational and a concrete level – within which different events and projects are implemented.
A large number of these projects are currently being implemented by various partners. These include a broad-based stakeholder dialog, an overarching communication strategy, a comprehensive co-creative participation process, mapping workshops, the design and implementation of pilot projects and the development of “prototypes of change”.
UVM supports the Office for Regional Planning and Urban Development in the overall process design, coordination and communication of “Hidden Potentials”.
